Dans un futur lointain, Uma, jeune fonctionnaire à la "Section 092 Recherche d'Archives", récolte inlassablement des fichiers retrouvés sur d'antiques bases de données oubliées depuis fort longtemps. En l'an 2700, les humains vivent dans une sorte de souterrain loin du soleil et semblent avoir oublié leur histoire. C'est pourquoi le rôle de la section 092 est de reformer cette histoire perdue sur base des informations qu'Uma récolte avec ses rares collègues.
